About 19K Design & Contracting: At 19K Design & Contracting Victoria, we set out to prove that home renovations in Greater Victoria can be done differently. Too often, homeowners encounter cut corners, price games, and rushed jobs that don’t stand the test of time. That never sat right with us. From the start, our goal has been clear: create a renovation experience rooted in honesty, thoughtful design, and open communication.
Founded by Matt McLean, 19K Design & Contracting brings more than a decade of hands-on experience in managing everything from boutique renovations to large-scale home extensions. Matt saw how stressful renovations could be for families—messy worksites, unclear budgets, and poor communication. His response was to build a company that makes the process smooth, transparent, and even enjoyable.
Today, our team is known for balancing design-forward thinking with builder-smart execution. Every project starts with careful listening: what’s working in your home, what’s not, and what you dream of changing.
